Welcome Letter & Newcomer Information

Welcome to The Pinery!
The Pinery Homeowners' Association Board of Directors welcomes you to your new home and The Pinery. We hope that you will have a successful move.
Pinery HOA dues are $30 annually. Payment of dues can be accomplished through participation in the Pinery Trash Program, the Pinery Storage Lot Program, or through direct cash or check payment to the PHA.
The Pinery Trash Program provides PHA members with low rates on weekly trash collection service including the latest in curbside recycling. Please contact our office at 303-841-8572 or ThePineryHOA@comcast.net for information and an application. You are invited to attend our general meetings and will also receive the PHA newsletter. PHA members enjoy reduced rates for community events such as the Pinery Picnic in August.
The Pinery Homeowners’ Association, Inc. is made up of two standing committees and an Executive Board who are elected volunteer Pinery residents that work to maintain the quality of life in The Pinery. The standing committees are the Community Services Committee and the Architectural Review Committee. The PHA sponsors community events such as those listed above and maintains common areas such as two neighborhood parks and the Pinery entryway. The PHA also represents The Pinery in dealing with governmental agencies by giving input regarding new developments, open space and roadways around The Pinery. The PHA keeps Pinery residents informed on issues that impact our community via the bi-monthly newsletter. The PHA also operates an RV storage lot for the use of Pinery residents.
The Architectural Review Committee considers and approves new building and exterior remodeling (such as painting, decks, fences, replacement roofs) of homes in The Pinery to ensure compliance with Pinery Protective Covenants. The intention of the Covenants is to protect our scenic environment and maintain the value of our homes. You should receive a copy of your Covenants at closing; if not, contact the ARC at 303-841-5305 or ThePineryACC@comcast.net.
The PHA office is located in the lower level of the Pinery Fire Station at Hillcrest Way and North Pinery Parkway.
Again, welcome to The Pinery. Please feel free to call the office with any questions about your new community. We need the support of every resident to preserve and protect the amenities of this beautiful and unique development. We sincerely hope you will support these efforts with timely payment of your dues.Newcomer Information

How many homeowners’ associations are in the Pinery? This is a very good question and the answer can become confusing. See Pinery HOA List for more information.

A neat feature of this website;
If
you enter your address number and the first character of your street
name it asks you to confirm your address then shows you the schools
associated with that address.

Pinery Parks and Recreation
Bingham Lake is privately owned by the Pinery Water & Wastewater District (PW&WD) and is managed by Douglas County Parks and Trails Division. Bingham Lake operates under a private lake provision through the Colorado Division of Wildlife. This allows fishing on the lake without the need for a fishing license from the Colorado Division of Wildlife or Douglas County Parks and Trails. The Douglas County Parkland surrounding the water is open to the public for hiking, biking, and picnicking under Douglas County Parks rules during its posted hours.
Fishing: Colorado fishing licenses do not apply to Bingham Lake because the lake is the private property of the Pinery Water & Wastewater District (PW&WD). See Bingham Lake Rules, Regulations & Fishing Limits.
Boating: Non-motorized craft such as canoes and rowboats are permitted on the lake. Motorized or wind-driven craft are not allowed on the lake. However, an exception to this rule is made for electric trolling motors.

Coyotes -
A Concern For
Area Pets:
As a note to new and old residents
alike, we’d like to remind you that although a lot of development is
making the Pinery increasingly less remote, we must remain cognizant
of the fact that small pets often fall prey to coyotes and other
predators in the area. Please keep your pets indoors for their safety!
Click on Pinery Wildlife for more
information on living with Coyotes and other wildlife in the Pinery.
Douglas County
Pet Ordinances:
A leash law requires that
all dogs, not on their owners’ property, to be on a leash.
A barking ordinance is in effect 24 hours a day.
Animal neglect is also addressed by county
ordinance; all dogs must have adequate food, water and properly
ventilated shelter providing protection from weather.
Although not mandated, cats should also be kept
in check. They are the single most responsible predator of wild birds.
