Building The New Dock At Bingham Lake
May 2003
Here are some pictures from Doug
Ravnholdt showing the stages of construction of the new dock. It’s
now completely installed and is being used by fishermen in the Pinery
(fisherwomen, too).
Many thanks to Doug Ravnholdt for finding the contractor up in
Minnesota (Tom Roeser shipped us the materials and installed the dock)
and to his neighbor, Carmen who donated his time and tractor to pull
the old pipes out. We are very grateful to Doug Stephenson and his
canoe who worked steadily and tirelessly removing the old dock and
helping to install the new one. John Burk, a Pinery passer-by, stopped
to help Doug Stephenson and Tom Kimball (I helped, too) to remove the
heavier dock pieces and toss them in the dumpster.
Good team effort, nice, new dock. It’s much safer than the old one,
too.
